1 Before the fair

Elaborate a communication plan :

  • Exploit the company´s various communication tools (website, mailing, social media)
  • Establish previous contact with clients, partners and suppliers to try and meet during the fair. Once it has started you will not be able to do so.
  • Take maximum advantage of the communication possibilities offered by the fair.

  • Adapt your speech to your objectives to generate confidence.
  • Only provide documentation to the visitors who most interest you
  • Be proactive: don´t wait for them to come and see you
  • Participate in the events and conferences of the business fair
  • Have a form in order to take note of visits, register contacts and the follow- up needed.

One of the biggest mistakes made by exhibitors attending business fairs is not taking advantage of all the opportunities offered such as interacting with renowned personalities in the sector.

  • So as to provide good follow-up after the fair, it is convenient to prepare forms on which to note the information of the contacts you may make. Take down the company information and the person of contact, the reason of the conversation at the fair, whether they showed interest in a specific product or service and what action we consider necessary once the fair is over. This way, once you start the post-fair follow-up, you can structure work and prioritize actions.
